Good Faith Clause

At Maple Canada Technologies Inc., we believe that the success and safety of our service rely on the good faith and shared responsibility of all participants.

The smooth running of carpool journeys largely depends on the voluntary, respectful, and cooperative engagement of each user — whether driver or passenger. Certain situations may arise outside of our control (delays, unforeseen events, technical problems, etc.). That’s why we encourage an attitude of understanding, transparency, and collaboration.

By using our platform, you agree to act with integrity, show respect toward other members, and communicate promptly in case of change, cancellation, or problems.

General User Behavior

By using the Maple Canada Technologies Inc. platform, all users commit to adopting respectful and responsible behavior toward other members of the community.

It is strictly prohibited to:

    • That is harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing;
    • That is defamatory, tortious, vulgar, obscene, or pornographic;
    • That infringes upon the privacy of another person;
    • That incites hatred, violence, or racial, ethnic, religious, or other forms of discrimination;
    • Or more broadly, any content that is reprehensible or unlawful under Canadian legislation.

Any violation of this policy may result in immediate disciplinary action, including account suspension or deletion, without notice.

User Behavior Toward Maple Canada Technologies Inc. Staff

Maple Canada Technologies Inc. does not tolerate any disrespectful conduct toward its employees.

Disrespectful conduct includes:

  • Insults, threatening or offensive remarks;

Any such behavior may result in the immediate suspension or deletion of the user’s account and legal action if necessary.

Special Conditions for Drivers

At Maple Canada Technologies Inc., the safety of our users is a top priority. That’s why, in addition to verifying the validity of drivers’ licenses, we pay particular attention to members’ driving records.

We particularly wish to highlight:

  • Any offense related to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs results in an automatic ban from the platform for the duration during which the driver is subject to the installation of an ignition interlock, as prescribed by law.
  • Maple Canada Technologies Inc. reserves the right to prohibit or suspend a driver’s access to the platform if their driving record poses a potential risk to the safety of passengers or the community.

We believe in responsible mobility, respectful of the law and founded on trust between drivers, passengers, and the platform.

Special Conditions for Ontario

If you intend to use Maple Canada Technologies Inc.’s services as a driver or passenger in Ontario, it is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with the Ontario Public Vehicles Act.

This legislation specifies in particular:

  • The definition of a rideshare vehicle, and
  • The conditions to be met in order not to be considered a taxi or a vehicle for hire under the Act.

As a driver, you must make sure your use of the service fully meets these legal criteria to operate without a taxi license or additional commercial license.

Maple Canada Technologies Inc. strongly recommends that you consult this legislation or seek professional counsel if you have doubts about your eligibility.

Special Conditions for Crossing the Canadian-American Border

To facilitate a smooth and compliant border crossing between Canada and the USA, Maple Canada Technologies Inc. requests all participants in a cross-border carpool to respect the following conditions:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have no criminal record in Canada or the USA.
  • Carry all required identification documents and be ready to present them at the initial checkpoint, before arriving at the border.

These requirements aim to avoid any delay or entry refusal that could affect the entire carpool.

Any failure to meet these obligations may result in:

  • Penalties under Canadian or foreign laws;
  • Legal action against you.

Maple Canada Technologies Inc. reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to:

  • Modify,

Therefore, Maple Canada Technologies Inc. assumes no liability for these relationships, nor for any losses or damages of any kind arising from such interactions or from the presence of advertisers on the platform.

Disclaimer of Warranties, Representations, and Conditions

Maple Canada Technologies Inc. offers no guarantee of reimbursement for unused prepaid reservations by the user, nor for annual driver or passenger subscriptions.

However, if, during your use of the service, a departure for which you reserved seats is unsatisfactory or does not take place as expected, Maple Canada Technologies Inc. agrees — subject to validation of the reasons — to credit you a number of reservations for future journeys. The conditions for this policy are at Maple Canada Technologies Inc.’s discretion.

This reimbursement policy expressly excludes any contribution made to the driver, if applicable.

In Case of a Complaint

Maple Canada Technologies Inc. commits to opening an investigation within a reasonable timeframe to determine whether intervention with the concerned driver or passenger is necessary, with the aim of protecting the interests of other members.
This after-sales service policy, along with the discretionary terms associated with it, constitutes the sole guarantee offered by Maple Canada Technologies Inc. to its members.

If you are dissatisfied with any other aspect of the service or wish to request a refund for unused prepaid reservations or your driver/passenger subscription, you agree that no refund will be granted. Your only recourse against Maple Canada Technologies Inc. and its directors will be the termination of your membership and the cessation of your use of the service.
